What are arrival and departure times?
Arrival is from 4pm on the first day of your holiday. Please vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure.

What's included in the rental price?
The price quoted is inclusive of all electricity, gas, linen (all bedding with the exception of cot linen), towels, bathmats, tea towels, wi-fi access, a welcome basket. Dishwasher tablets, hand wash, washing up liquid and dishwashing cloths will also be included.

What baby equipment do you provide?
A highchair and a travel cot is available upon request. Please provide your own cot linen.

Are pets allowed in the property?
Dogs are welcomed at Bryn Gwyn and Tegfryn although we do ask that they are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. We would also ask that dogs are never left unattended in the houses.

What is included in the welcome basket?
Fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar and locally made cake will be provided for your arrival.

Do you have off-street parking?
Only on street parking is available and access to the houses is via a number of steep steps. Please refer to our access statement.

Where is the nearest restaurant?
There is an excellent bistro located in Borth-y-Gest. There is also a popular tea rooms/ cafe in the village. An extensive range of eateries can be found in Porthmadog which can be reached by foot in 15 minutes along the coastal path or 2 minutes by car.

Where is the nearest shop?
A village shop is located in Borth-y-Gest where a basic range of groceries can be purchased. An extensive range of shops can be found in Porthmadog which can be reached by foot in 15 minutes along the coastal path or 2 minutes by car.

Where is the nearest beach?
The village fronts onto the sea. Borth-y-Gest skirts the perimeter of a bay primarily used as a harbour to moor small boats. The bay is extremely beautiful and silty sands are exposed at low tide. A 5 or 10 minute walk westwards along the coastal path will take you to long stretches of beautiful sandy beaches where the sea is safe to swim in during a low-to-incoming tide.

Where is the nearest pub?
Several pubs are located in Porthmadog which can be reached by foot in 15 minutes along the coastal path or 2 minutes by car.

Where is the nearest supermarket?
There is a Tesco supermarket in Porthmadog located approximately 1 mile from Bryn Gwyn and Tegfryn

Does Tesco deliver to Bryn Gwyn and Tegfryn?
Yes. The delivery address is Bryn Gwyn (or Tegfryn), Borth-y-Gest, LL49 9TP.

Do you take bookings for short breaks?
During the low or mid season short breaks are available for either weekend breaks of Friday to Monday (3 nights) or midweek breaks comprising Monday to Friday (4 nights). Please contact us for further information or refer to the availability calendar.

Is the property non-smoking?
Yes Bryn Gwyn and Tegfryn are strictly non-smoking properties.

What are the access restrictions to the cottages?
Access to Bryn Gwyn and Tegfryn is via an unadopted level track, which leads from the main road (Borth Road). The track is approximately 20 metres in length which leads to the base of the property boundaries. Access to the front doors is then via a steeply sloping path which also comprises a number of steps. There are approximately 20 steps to ascend to both Bryn Gwyn and Tegfryn. Vehicular access is allowed along the unadopted track for dropping off and pick-up only - parking is not permitted. Cars must return to the main road, Borth Road, which is approximately 20 metres from the property boundary. Unrestriced parking is available on Borth Road.
